Genesee County’s Premier Private Golf Club
Flint Golf Club celebrates more than 100 years as a destination where friends and family enjoy camaraderie and build lasting memories. Ours was one of the first golf clubs in the state and our championship course – designed by the famous Willie Park Jr. – continues to be in high demand by golfers of all skill levels.
Our past includes most of the prominent names from local history: Dort, Champion, Chrysler, Ballenger, Atwood and Mott to name a few. Our present is crafted from a wide variety of members – some of whom may be your neighbors – and we are also proud to count several local, state and national champions among our number. The younger generations of our legacy families and the participants of our junior golf and swim programs will write our future.
Flint Golf Club is a family-oriented, private golf club offering activities for members of all ages, including men’s and women’s leagues, weekday/weekend games, various golf events, couples golf, junior golf, and swim teams. We host numerous social events
throughout the year for individuals and families to enjoy, such as our Easter Brunch, Mother’s Day Brunch, Santa Brunch, December Raw Bars, and more. The Club is steeped in history and we are proud of our rich and storied past.
It was started over 100 years ago in 1910 by some of the legends of the auto industry – names you may recognize from history and from some of the streets and buildings in the Flint area: J. Dallas Dort, Albert Champion, Walter P. Chrysler, William S. Ballenger, Edwin Atwood, Charles Stewart Mott, Arthur G. Bishop, and William Durant. Ours was one of the first golf clubs in the state and was designed by world famous golf course architect Willie Park Jr., winner of the Open Championship in 1887 and 1889.
All-time great Sam Snead holds the course record at 61 along with Frank Connor, who is one of only three men to have played in a U.S. Open in both golf and tennis. We are a part of the Michigan Private Club Alliance, allowing our members to visit and play at nine courses throughout the state of Michigan. Those courses include Egypt Valley Country Club, Traverse City Country Club, Gull Lake Country Club, and others.

Golf Membership
This membership provides full access to the golf course, pool area, club amenities, programs and events for the primary member, their spouse/significant other and children through age 26.
- Book tee time up to 7 days in advance
- Second right of refusal on all club golf tournaments.
- Access to all club social programs and activities
- Flint Golf Club – Private Club Alliance Program – Pay only cart fees at nine of private clubs around the Michigan.

Pool Membership
Our pool facilities are one of the finest in the area. We have the largest pool in Genessee County. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, the pool area offers a fun family environment for all to enjoy. Whether you are relaxing on one of our chaise lounges or sitting under a gazebo to escape the summer sun, you will feel right at home. Swimming is a great way for members to gather together, relax, and spend quality time with their families and friends- and our pool area provides the perfect environment to do so.

- At Flint Club, our members share a connection to one another, rooted in the traditions of family, friends, food, and fun.
- We put family first, and many of our members are descendants of our club’s founding visionaries. Our multi-generational membership privileges allow an entire immediate family to have equal access and we believe that every member of the family should be able to find something fun to do at the Club.
- As a Pool member, you can enjoy unlimited use of the pool Memorial Day through Labor Day. You may add limited golf and driving range to your membership. In addition, your kids can join Swim Team or Junior Golf or take swimming lessons.
Social Membership
This membership category is a great introduction into the country club lifestyle. Benefits include full access to the pool & dining, and limited access to golf. These privileges extend to spouse/significant other and children through the age of 26.

Corporate Membership
Our corporate membership is a great way to be a part of this wonderful club and consist of fabulous benefits in golf and advertising for your company. Benefits include company advertising on our new golf carts, an on-course tee sign, daily foursome playing privileges with carts and range balls. Your membership will also include discounts on golf shop apparel and clubs, reduced hall rental fee for company functions and meetings, special pricing for golf outings, and a special instructional golf clinic.

86 rounds are included in the base Corporate Membership for a single Corporate Golfer
- Add additional golfers from the corporation at substantially discounted rates
- An additional 26 rounds allocated for each additional Corporate Golfer (additional rounds may be purchased)
- Rounds may be used by Corporate Golfers and qualified family members (spouses/children <26) and their guests
Includes rights to lockers, bag room storage, driving range, swimming pool and all social events
- The corporation can identify other employees as Social Members at no additional cost
- All Corporate Golfers and Social Members MUST be owners/employees of the corporation
- The corporation can have one billing account or Corporate Golfers and Social Members may have their own billing accounts
- The food minimum is $100 per month from April-October for each Corporate Golfer
- The corporation is responsible for the outstanding payments of any Corporate Members
- Each Corporate Golfer will have $200 in Pro Shop credit

Pre-Certificate memberships allow younger members to join Flint Golf Club and enjoy all we have to offer while saving money that can be put towards your growing family. Two membership levels are based on age of the member. The youngest category is for single members age 21-29 and has similar benefits to a Certificate Single membership.
A second category exists for members age 30-39, with benefits matching those identified for Certificate Family Members. The primary difference between Certificate and Pre-Certificate is voting rights.
When a member reaches age 30, they will be transferred into the “30-39” category and when a member reaches age 40 they will become Certificate Members and will have the option to select their Certificate Member category.
The primary membership at Flint Golf Club covers full access to all our facilities, including our championship Willie Park Jr. designed golf course, 6-lane swimming pool & diving area and popular outdoor grove for family activities. Our outdoor pool is the largest in Genesee County. Unmarried children up to age 26 receive full member privileges under a Family Certificate membership, while children under the age of 18 are eligible to participate in both our Junior Golf program and our competitive Swim Team.
All members may enjoy casual dining, or a drink, in the Harry Barrett Grill or fine dining in the Oak Room. Our patio is also available for outdoor dining in season and is a member favorite. Our exceptional kitchen staff is capable of preparing an intimate gourmet dinner or a 300 person wedding buffet. The banquet facilities at Flint Golf Club are unsurpassed in the area for exceptional quality and service.
Flint Golf Club is privileged to have PGA Professional Scott Brotebeck, a long time area resident and a well skilled player and teacher. Brotebeck’s Golf Shop can provide you with the latest equipment and the most up to date trends in golf fashion.
Adam Cooper, coach of the Flint Falcons, also coaches our competitive Swim Team. Parents of top swimmers seek out Flint Golf Club so their kids can swim for Adam.
Certificate members have full voting rights and can select from one of four membership categories, to fit their individual or family situation (all categories have inherent family dining rights):
Family – This is the normal membership category for family golf and fun. All eligible family members have full access to the club for golf, pool and all the amenities described earlier.
Couple – Member and spouse (or significant other) have full access to all activities. This membership is designed for couples with no children, or for when your adult children are gone and you are looking for a more affordable membership.
Single / Family Social – This membership includes full social privileges for the entire family, but only the member has golf rights. With this category, eligible children can participate in Junior Golf and the Swim Team.
Single – For the single golfer, this is the most affordable private club membership in the area to have access to a facility like Flint Golf Club.

Once a Certificate Member reaches age 70 they have the option to relinquish their certificate voting rights and become a Senior Member. Aside from voting, Senior Members have the same rights and benefits as their equivalent Certificate Category. Senior members pay dues for only eight months.
Social (Pool) Members have full family access to Flint Golf Club for all Social and Dining activity. This includes access to our 6 lane pool, diving area, and game area, as well as family grove for outdoor events. Eligible children may participate in Junior Golf, led by PGA Pro Scott Brotebeck, and our competitive Swim Team, coached by Adam Cooper. Social Members may also purchase an annual family pass to our golf practice facility, so you may practice with your kids that are in Junior Golf.
